Table Mountain and its commitment to conservation

Tourism role players have reason to celebrate the latest arrivals numbers which were released by Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille this week. She told a media briefing (on Tuesday) that visitor numbers soared to 10,5m in 2025. This is a momentous milestone, and it is up to all players in the sector to continue the hard work and maintain the momentum that made this possible, says the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC).

“We are absolutely delighted by the record-breaking tourism arrival statistics. Seeing arrival numbers soar is a clear signal that our tourism industry has not only recovered but it has bounced back higher entering a vibrant new era of growth,” says TMACC MD Wahida Parker.

“It is incredibly heartening to see that we have officially surpassed pre-pandemic levels. This success is not an accident; it is the direct result of tireless collaboration between the government, private sector partners, and all tourism role players who have worked in unison to market our beautiful destination to the world,” she adds.

“However, we cannot afford to be complacent. I call on all stakeholders to maintain this spirit of collaboration. Tourism is a vital, job-creating engine for our economy, and by continuing to work together, we ensure that this sector remains supported and that its benefits reach every corner of our society.”
